Leading packaging origination and flexo plate-making company, Contact Originators, has announced it has agreed a sponsorship agreement with the Community Foundation, which is the charitable arm of Stockport County Football Club.
The agreement will see Contact sponsor the club’s ball boys and girls for the entirety of the 2019/2020 National League season. The sponsorship by Contact enables the Foundation to provide the group of young aspiring footballers from local Junior Football Clubs with brand new tracksuits to wear on home matchdays.
“Stockport County is our local football team, so this sponsorship deal is a wonderful moment,” said Steve Mulcahy, CEO of Contact. “This has enabled us to give something back to the local community through the foundation scheme, and we are extremely proud and excited to have agreed the deal.”
In operation since 1992, the Stockport County Community Foundation aims to involve the club in the local community and engage with children and adults in fun developmental activities to promote both the sport and the team.
Foundation Manager Dave Wardle said: “We are a self-funded organisation and sponsorships like this are vital in helping us give back to the local community. It is also vital that we engage with local companies, and Contact is a prime example of a business having a significant impact in the area. We are delighted to have the company sponsoring our ball boys and girls this year and we believe this will lead to a long and successful relationship.”
Stockport take on Maidenhead Untied at 12:30 pm on Saturday 3rd August 2019 at Edgeley Park in the first game of the National League 2019/20 season. The ball boys and girls will wear their Contact sponsored tracksuits for the first time, and the game will be live on BT Sport.
