Contact Originators has invested in AV Flexologic’s EXACT 50×80 system marking an important step in the adoption of laser-based flexo plate cutting technology within the UK.
The installation reflects the strength of a long-standing partnership between the two companies and a shared commitment to developing practical advances in flexographic prepress.

The EXACT 50×80 introduces laser-based cutting into Contact Originators’ production environment, supporting consistent plate preparation and clean cut quality within a fully enclosed system. The technology also enables additional functions such as engraving and plate identification, while supporting integration with wider production workflows.
In day-to-day use, the system is expected to support improved accuracy in plate cutting, helping to reduce material waste and manual handling. Fewer preparation steps can contribute to more consistent results, while improved traceability supports greater control across the process and reduces the likelihood of avoidable errors.
