Innovation-led packaging origination and graphics management company, Contact Originators, has secured silver and bronze awards at the recent European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) Awards.
Designed to provide printers with proven savings, its innovative OptimusTM plate technology enabled Contact to take home silver for Supplier of the Year, as well as bronze in the Technical Innovation category.
Optimus delivers improved ink laydown and ink reductions in the corrugated print process and can save brands up to 20% on ink usage and up to 10% on ink formulation compared to a standard plate. The new technology solution was adopted for a project with leading packaging client, Smurfit Kappa Group, who required high-performance print on corrugated boxes for a well-known fashion brand.
